Hey guys, I put a GT28R on my 240 and did all the modifications for the coolant and drain lines and pieced together an intake for it and stuff, all of that is gravy for the most part but i did run into one issue, the 5 bolt O2 housing has a single bolt that is like a quarter of an inch off, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an o2 housing that fits the outlet of this turbo correctly and has either the same or very close dimensions to the stock housing, I dont want to have to go have an exhaust shop redo my exhaust it was quite pricey the first time and the shop that did it is about 200 miles from where i live now. So if anyone could send me a link to one that they know is very close to stock dimensions or the same with the right bolt pattern for the s15 screw let me know, I feel bad driving it with a bolt out cuz it will start leaking exhaust soon i think....

Stock or tubular manifold? Ive got a SSAC o2 housing for sale, never used, I'll let it go cheap but you have to be using a stainless manifold or it won't clear the steering column.

Another quick solution would be to take the exhaust off and file out or slot that hole, so you have more room to play with.

I run x2 o2 gaskets with 4/5 bolts in my turbo elbow with no problems. I was thinking you could probably get a slim bolt and nut and tighten them down through the portion of the hole that is accessable.

i'll probably get flamed for this, but im not running a manifold gasket (ticks a little..), i have 3 bolts holding the elbow on and two holding the downpipe on..it runs fine, GREAT actually. I'd just grab r34gtr's outlet or hit up eBay and look for a company called "Boombop"..they have a NICE SR20 outlet to use.

dont worry, i will get everything sorted out, i just have other things to worry about.

You are referring to the different 5 bolt dump pipe flange that mates up to the turbo?

Many people also just elongate that one hole on the dump pipe flange that doesn't quite line up.

The CA18 dump pipe (o2 housing) is different to the SR20 one.

But I do believe you can use the SR20DET cast dump pipe and front pipe to cure this. I'm pretty sure I read this some place. But I'm not a Silvia or SR20DET person to be 100% sure. And if you are living in the USA, this means you have less access to these sort of parts.

I too went through the T25->T28 conversion on my ca18 many years ago, and noticed these differences. I know that you can't just swap the CA for the SR cast dump pipe.

Just elongate the hole with a rat-tail file.

yea it took me three days to elongate the ones on the oil drain that and i lost two metal cutting bits that are 8 bucks a piece so i was trying to avoid that, but that might be my solution when i have another vehicle to drive for a couple days, I am running the stock manifold, dont want to have more lag than i have to with this thing... thanks guys, i just didnt know if there was one with the stock dimensions or not, i doubt the sr one is but for now i guess ill just slot that hole or something... I also just found that one of my oil lines is leaking already... so i get to go play with it anyways lol

Dremel + Carbide cutting bit = hot knife through butter on cast iron.

DON'T USE IT ON ALUMINUM. You'll gum it up and ruin your very expensive bit.
