well today I did some finishing touches on my ka-t I turned the key and waited for a while because this is what i thought you could do to get the oil to run through the oil feed line. That didnt work so I started the engine and let it run for a few minutes since I havent installed the boost controller yet. That didnt work either, do you have to prime the oil feed line or what?

Also would having having the egr pipe wideopen and not shut cause a large leak or cause the engine to stumble a little while giving gas?

#1 - did you just rebuild the engine? Pull the relay for the EFI and crank until you get oil. They should prime themselves, I would think.

#2 - Yes, the EGR will cause a HUGE boost leak if you do not block it off.

Sometimes it'll take a little while for the oil to get up through the tube. A few back to back periods of cranking should do it, although maybe not if the engine isnt really spinning that fast. Also check for kinks in the line. One time I kinked the oil feed line completely with the intake manifold...

The engine has to be turning to build up oil pressure-- the pump is driven directly by the crank, so just having the key "ON" isnt going to do anything for oil.

If you removed your EGR, it HAS to be blocked off, no question.

Let us know how it goes!

With the engine cranked it should come out like what is in the picture. You can only do this with no turbo mounted.

Its helps to remove the spark plugs so that the engine spins faster
