It says on the site KE, but I am guessing it's just a typo. I assume they really mean KA.

i don't like the 02 sensor reading from just one cylinder, if anything the threaded hole for the 02 should be built into the downpie, right after the turbo.

That's the EGT probe bung, not a O2 sensor bung... It's to read the Exhaust Gas Temperature off of cylinder #4.

my blah. I was thinking about it, cuz I've never seen anyone do it this way for the O2. So I could hook up the EGR line to this bung as well? I need the EGR working whenever emissions come around, and I was hoping for a manifold that would acount for this somehow. How much is this fine looking piece?

You can't hook up the EGR to this bung. EGT and EGR fitting are totally different. You don't need the EGR to pass emissions. I passed a sniff test w/o egr and cat. convertor. The manifold costs $625 but is well worth it.

how exactly do you pass emissions w/out EGR AND cat? I dunno bout you, but in CT they are pretty strict bout these kinds of things...

Put an EGR bung into your downpipe. I bought one from JWT for $15. I designed my downpipe so it locates the fitting the same place as on the stock exhaust manifold. A pain in the *** but it's possible. I made a jig to position the fitting so it lines up right.

Here in Georgia it is the letter of the law that any emission control devices the car came from the factory with must be left in place but it is only checked by a visual inspection. I doubt that most of the guys performing the inspection would know if it's there or not.

ALso, in GA theres plenty of rednecks running nitrous-fed 500ci camaros that run "fishy" emissions placesIE:"OPen the hood? why? I wont know what down there anyways, hell, turn your heat on high to help it a bit, too."

I could have sworn JGS made custom, DIY tubular manifolds but they only seem to offer log style. Am I having hallucinations or does someone offer tubular manifold kits? Or does anyone offer premade tubulars?

Hey WD, you know of any way I can get my hands on this manifold? What mani are you planning on running when you build your KA...custom?

So Chris, Autoimaging could'nt help you with the manifold?

I'd love to see one of those installed. It looks like to me that it could only be a bottom mount, there's no way that thing would clear the BMC with a top mount.

Let us know the price if you find out, gotta be high buck with those tangent bent tubes.

By the way did you get the HKS car on the road?

Nope, not on the road, but getting closer.

My manifold guy screwed me, so going to try and get by with what I've got, but want to get a higher quality peice as soon as possible.

No, That manifold is for the single cams only. They never used de motors in jdm silvias. Thier manifolds are very nice quality thouh.

Nope, the head flange pattern is for a DOHC

when i built my tubular manifold, i used thier piping design. The manifold makes nice power from 4 grand up. Not a manifold for super fast spool, but very smoth flow.

:D You're right. But hindsight is 20/20. Too bad I'm blind in the present most times.

I'll be using a custom job when I build mine. But the race motor is gonna take awhile, so I'll be using the same Mani that I sell with my turbine kits till I have everything ready for the race block.

Hey WD, any ideas on what type of design it will be? Equal length, log, etc.. Materials?? Just trying to get your ideas on manifold design since you've prolly seen it all being in Japan.

If you can have your image hosted somewhere you can just punch in the html code [img][/img] and post whatever size your picture is.
