I just got done with my KAT conversion, Stock internal, T25, N60, 370cc, walbro 255, ECU Tuned Emance, timing adjusted PER FSM, 20 deg 700 rpm. I am currently running 7psi. I have a few questions, car started fine at first click, when i run car at 2000rpm for few minutes the turbo manifold turn bright red, getting too hot, is this normal or i am running too lean. As of now i do not have wide banc to confirm my AFR. Can some please advice what should i check or tune next in order to eliminate the red hot manifold. Any advices are appreciated. Thank you!

Is the car under load at 2000rpm or just revved to 2000rpm?

If it was lean enough to do that it wouldn't be running at all. It almost sounds like you have fuel being ignited IN the manifold itself.

hmmm you might have a leaking injector that could cause fuel to ignite in your exhaust manifold. When i had a real bad injector leak and i took off my exhaust manifold and started the car it was SPRAYING fuel out of that exhaust port and actually caught on fire! Got it out right away but still that was scary.

Seriously get a wideband. there could be other things wrong with it but right now at least confirm your car is not too lean or rich. I know you probably anxious to drive it but be a little patient because i dont want to hear about a blown motor.

I think the ka-ters are gettting better since i havent really heard anything about blown motors.
