I'm getting ready to do an engine rebuild on my KA24 and install a T3. My question is whether it would be better to install a top mount or bottom mount turbo manifold? Some of my friends say that they think it would be better to install the top mount due to oil and water drainage...but I dont know. Help anyone?

It's all about clearance.

Bottom mount will lower the center of gravity on your car which will improve the handling over a top mount in stock form.

There are no issues with oil feed or drainage on our kit.

I'm wrapping up my custom bottom mount now. I hated my topmount. Too hot on anything nearby.

Hey Chris...I was wanting to know if you have a price for the new turbo manifold you guys at AMS came out with? Btw, the manifold is definately the sexiest lookin one I've ever seen...its got more curves than my girl! Thanks for the advice too!

I just got the good SSAC bottom mount t2 manifold. It really doesn't look bad at all. I am just going to file off a few boogers a few inches inside of the t2 flange and I'll be set. BTW, KATwo....update your bottom mount thread, lol!! It seems like such a great idea, especially since I think I will tire of the sr t25 after a short while.

It all depends on the turbo manifold itself. If you can afford the AMS one...BUY it. If not, then you have to weigh all of your options. Best thing to do would be to lay out the manifolds you like, and then make a choice.

I would love to get the AMS manifold but so far I dont know how much it costs. Im kinda afraid that Chris from AMS isnt gonna look here...WD...can you get in touch with him since youre like an admin and ask him what the deal would be for the manifold itself and NOT the whole turbo package? It would be very much appreciated.

Here's the thing with AMS. I think they have a certain amount of manifolds made at the moment, since they do take quite a bit of work to build. The current manifolds are slotted to go out with kits, so Chris and AMS haven't really decided on a price, and if they did, you couldn't get one anyway. But thats conjecture at this point.

When AMS comes up with a price, they'll post it on here within the hour I'm sure of it. Bussiness is bussiness...

WD is right!

We are working out a price for the other pieces of the kit. We will have it ready ASAP. I appreciate your patience!
