Those are not "equal length" tubes. Better hi-temp ceramic coat that thing too, unless you like heat and rust. Also don't particularly care for the outside welding where the tubes meet the head mounting flange. Other than that, if you can get it for $195, go for it. All my opinions, take it for what it's worth ;)

This is a very close to equal length tubular turbo exhaust manifold ...

If you pay close attention, when the tubes meet the head flange, it's actually welded from the inside. The welds on the outside are just there to secure it in place, and make it a little stronger.

Excellent buy in my opinion.

I did say "Also don't particularly care for the outside welding where the tubes meet the head mounting flange." I've seen cracking occur on unfinished weld joints. Other than that, the welding looks top-notch. But, agreed, it is a good buy.

I have bought form that guy in the past. I bought a stainless steel catback exhaust for $300shipped looked great and seemed really well made untill I put it on my car and it met the elements. Very nice sound, very deep, But then the tip started rusting. It started to pit rust. Then looking further piping had some rust on it. And when I got a ticket for loud exhaust I took it off and none of the flanges are stainless. They are started to rust up. I did the old magnet test and the tip grabbed(not good) like a mofo the can didn't grab at all, but the flanges grabbed too. I'm thinking it is a very poor stainless. He claimed it to be 304. So I contact him after it being on my car for 3 months and rusting. Told him I bought it cause it was stainless and I wanted to never deal with it again. So after a few e-mails he gives me a refund. He gave me $150 back. But I still have a rusty 3" catback. I think i'm going to coat it with somethign from https://www.por15.com/ they got some good stuff on there, my dad redid his Z gastank with some of their stuff. If someonebuys one let me know. The guy is pretty cool and I asked him about having his supplier make these manifolds about 5 months ago, so maybe he listened. If they are good I would think about buying one. Maybe we could get a group buy going, cause I know he usually sells SR equal length mani's for $175, and RB20DET mani's for like $200.

It actually looks like a tubular copy of a RevHard casting. All the way down to the placement of flanges, footprints of each flange, even the eight bolt pattern for T3 and T4 turbine housings. The welds do look top notch; and just as a point of reference, the outer welds securing the pipes to the manifold flange should NOT be all the way around. They should be only about 1/2" long, and evenly spaced. The inner weld seals, the outer weld flexes, but holds. I think it looks well made. Of course, it doesn't matter how well made it is, if the material is of poor quality. It does not look like any grade of 304 stainless, to me. That luster on any 304 would be a bit out of place, unless he spent two hours under a wheel with it. It almost looks like a crappy chrome job.John

Yeah I emailed him about fitment and never got a response, the auction is ended also. Strange.

There is another guy selling a turbo boss manifold now. It looks like a good price but the guy has -1 feedback, so I don't think it is actually the company Turbo Boss selling it, it may be a scam, watch out.

since revhard made the manifold, it was really designed for a on center t04 turbo

Actually from some posts in FA, the issue seems to be with the differences between having ABS and not having it. I can't remember which one fits. Someone even fit a tangential T04 on there.

The big difference as far as I can tell is not the master cylinder itself, but the brake booster.

My car used to be an automatic, and I swapped it to a 5-speed...but retained the auto brake booster. It's smaller in diameter, but thicker...so the m/c extends closer to the front of the car by 1" at least - And hit the turbo. I couldn't even fit a Z31 T3 on there, much less my T3/T04E.

I swapped to a 5-speed m/c, and clearance is still and issue, but it fit - Barely. I have my m/c heavily wrapped.

See here:

And assuming that all S14s that came with the 15/16" m/c like the automatic cars...I'd bet the ABS cars have the same bigass brake booster that interfers.

Later - Brian
