I'm assuming that's your car? If it is, the swap's looking awesome! Novel idea: more power, less weight while keeping the Nissan namesake!

I could be mistaken but I recall Underprsher posting about possibly dropping in a n/a VG30DE from the previous gen Z? It's been a while since I've browsed through the boards though so I could be wrong.

I meant lighter as opposed to a possible DOHC swap and not the stock single cam. Sorry for the confusing post.

who's the owner of NICO, anyway? i think he deserves some congratulation for his most excellent forum weve got here...best on the web.

in any case, is that motor stock? you could make a pretty mean yet perfectly streetable (and sleeper) M30 with that pup under the hood.

What all is involved in the swap? I also have an M30 and it's a neat little car, just needs some ba@#$. Did he keep the automatic or go manual? What does a first gen motor go for? I'm new to this Nissan stuff, my experience is with Fords/Mopar's.
