im making this thread in hopes of saving alot of people some real aggrevation.ive had the sr in the car for about....8 months now,and a week or so ago i noticed a decrease in power.i figured it was a boost leak (the crappy bov that came with the motor/clip),so i replaced it with a greddy hotpipe and type rs bov.that didnt solve the problem.a couple days later i start hearin a rattlin noise at higher rpm's.then to discover that the turbo to manifold had loosened up and is leakin and makin noise.well after two long days,i pulled the mani/turbo out, tightened it,tach welded the nuts to the studs so it dont loosen up again, replaced a new manifold gasket and bolted her back together.well, she pulls hard now! i wish i knew this was gonna be a problem cause i wouldve done it before the motor went in.thats why im making this.for any of you planning to do the swap, tach the nuts on so youll never have this problem.im not really worried about having to seperate it either cause im goin with a new setup in a year or so.which is what most of you plan to to do also.
