I just got my brand new turbo from turbonetics and this is the first time i've every delt with a non-mitsubishi turbo. Anyway, i was told that the turbo had or was going to be set up for an integral wastegate. My question is... where's the wastegate? And if this hole is for the flapper then why is it so damn small? this turbo is a t3/t4.. i've seen bigger flappers on t25s. anyway here's the pic.

That is the opening for the wastegate, but it looks like they didn't actually install the wastegate, just the opening for it. Do you have any better pics of it?

Are you planning on running it internal? If not they make a 5 bolt flange that just caps that off, no problems.

internal. i can't pass emissions with an external... well i might but that would require piping the external wastegate back into the exhaust and that's just more work and more money.

ya looks like they didn't provide a flapper valve for ya. which probably means they didnt give you an actuator either...and all together it means you have no wastegate, and a nice hole for your exhaust to go right around the turbo.
