How much turbo lag do you see when running a T3/T04e 57 Trim .63 A/R Turbine .60 A/R Compressor. I was just wondering if anyone is running this at lower boost like 12 psi and when do you see full boost. I just got one and I am used to a very small turbo with no lag but no top end power now I will be going to lag with good top end power. Anyone have any comments?

A properly sized turbo should see full boost at around half the max RPM, give or take a couple hundred.

You'll see full boost around 3700rpm.

I love this turbo. Perfect for KA IMO.

It really depends on the gear you're in i've found. It sees 7 PSI in 4th gear at only 2800 RPM on mine. However in 1st gear that amount of boost usually won't show up until the higher 3,000's (hard to track haha!). Third gear will see that 7 PSI around 2,900-3,100 RPM's on mine.

So basically expect the kick around 3-4,000 RPM's and full boost likely sometime before 4,000 RPM, even 12 PSI.

Oh, and the top end is worth it.

Ohhh are u doing 7psi??what u think its ur #'s?i have the turbo u guys have too! yaiiyuh!what its a PSI u guys recomend and parts so it can hold that boost safely

I don't have it on yet, but I think I will run 10 psi first to see what the difference is. I have a small turbo now and I'm running 12 psi and it just doesn't make any power at the higher rpms 4000,6000. So I hope 10psi on this turbo will show me an inprovement. All I'm running is the t3/t04e 57 trim, 42lb injectors, safc 2, Z maf, front mount intercooler, 3" pipe all the way . no muffler or cat. and a msd btm retard about .5 degree running 91 octain.

ohhh okay sounds almost wut i have.MSD ? how much was that i never though of using MSD. and which boost controller / turbo timer u using?i wanted blitz for Boost and apex for the timer .i was planning on 12 or 14 i heard its awesum!

I highly doubt you'd be disappointed, you may even make more or the same power on 2 less PSI. I think the new turbo should put a smile on your face, especially in the upper RPM's and on the highway.

Just make sure you're running rich throughout!
