I have searched and have found out what other people have done, I read through dozens of pages of trouble shooting, and have asked in other forums, but never got a straight awnser.

Im only looking to push 6psi max on stock internals. Its a daily driver and I just want to give it some balls

Im about to pick up my 96' S14 Auto with 112k on the clock and was looking for a complete shopping list to turbo it.

Not on a budget limit, but on a safe boost level for everyday driving/ no major internal modification.

I have done my homework. I know the stock ECU can handle up to about 7psi, i also found that I shouldnt need larger injectors if I go with a rising rate FPR, now I need to know exactly what Ill need besides larger injectors and a ecu re-flash.

I already have a Garret T4 that I found in the trunk of a 240 at the local junkyard that is BRAND NEW. Zero shaft play As well as a set of SMIC's from a 95 Tin turbo Stealth.

Thanks a ton guys!, hopefully we can even get this stickied for future searches.

Uhhhh what about these turbo kits from ebay?

I do already have a T4 Garret Turbo that I can use in case the ebay one is ****.

Is $700 worth a so-so ebay turbo, a intercooler, Wastegate, BOV, exhaust manifold, and piping?

Im lost here, what else would I need? Injectors? I dont need a ECU tune because I dont want to go over 7psi on stock internals.

Why are the kits so cheap? Even Civic ones are more money, does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the quality of these kits?

Check it out.

In my experience the reason for the ebay kits being so cheap is because you never know what you are going to get. I know people who are boosting 17 PSI on ebay kits with no problem and others who crank it over after install and BAM! Blown turbo. I'd say get a T28 BB for like 700.

Yea, and I say don't listen to Ryon because:

A. I don't recommend any T2 flanged turbo for the KA. As cheap as some T3s are you might as well get something that's more efficient on the KA.

B. Once you've been bitten by the boost bug your T28 setup will be useless for turning up the boost.

Yea but I just want a few extra ponies under the hood and a BOV to make my GF's panties wet and so that all the chicks at day care think our son is badass.

I guess I need to find out which ebay sellers are selling the good kit then huh?

What adjustments do I need to make to the fuel system to only run like 6psi? Will I be safe with 6psi on the stock ecu and stock internals for another 100k?

I saw the SSA kit for $700 but then noticed that it used a XS POWER turbo

What do you guys think about this.....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/jdm-Niss ... 5261QQrdZ1

Ill consider that, Its like a grand more expensive than the Greddy kit though.

But thanks, Im trying to sell some of my toys, depending on how well I end up I might just do that.

I was looking to stay around 2k if possible.

The cheap Greddy kit has no intercooler.

ALL of the cheap turbo kits on EBAY use Chinese turbo's and Chinese wastegates. Very unsafe and WILL NOT last.

The manifolds are "meh ok" but they work. If you're as handy as you sound, you can look into a JGS kit. It only requires you to make your own intercooler plumbing etc. But you can use an EABY intercooler kit which is cheap and you don't have to worry about them crapping out on you.

For fuel just use a 8:1 FMU, done.
