I want to turbo my ka24 but dont wanna upgrade my fuel system so here's what i thought i would do.

Setup a turbo to run around 4psi with out an intercooler, cause i here that anything under 8psi is moderatly safe to run w/o one.

Then setup an alcohol injection system to run off a toggle switch similar to a nitrous system that activates at full throttle to run a alcohol injector and an extra fuel injector that will mix in right after the throttle body, while at the same time boost the pressure of the turbo to around 8 or 10psi.

The alcohol would serve as an intercooler by cooling the intake charge and the extra fuel injector would help supplement the extra demand for fuel to prevent detonation.

My questions are:

1: would it be safe to run my car with the stock fuel system at 4psi?2: can an alky injector system be modded and tuned to run both an alcohol injector and a fuel injector?3: would my stock fuel pump handel the extra demand of a 5th injector?4: will any of this work?

I think the money you are going to spend trying to set up and tune for a 5th injector is going to out weigh getting a walbro and some sr injectors.

As for alchy, I was planning on using this boost controller:

It has a 12v switch that turns on when you hit a pre-determined boost level

Thats why i was thinkin about doing this. It was because of the cost. How much do you think either setup would take? And if i upgraded the injectors then wouldn't i have to use some form of piggy back or other ways of tuning those injectors?

I was wanting to get away from that much tuning and set it all up to run blind. I would take it to a dyno and set it all to function with the proper A/F ratios at a wide open setting. so i didn't have to worry about programing and all that.

I was also figuring that it would be moderatly safe to be out of the throttle running 3-4psi with the stock MAF injectors and computer.

The "budget" form of fuel control has traditionally been a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, or rr-fpu. You can tell witch ones are rising rate by the ratio in the name. some are 8:1 some 12:1 and I'm sure there are more. They work by increasing the fuel pressure by a set amount with every psi that the regulator sees.

If your going to do the tuning on a dyno, why not go ahead an get an old/used afc or equivalent? At worst, you'll be out about 150 and you'll have at leaste some say about what the injectors are doing.

The route I'm taking is a chipped ecu. I got my daughterboard for about 15 bucks, a chip burner can be had for about 30-60, and programs like Nissan datascan can do real time map tracing. I've downloaded a basic 7 psi t25 370 injectors tune of hybridka and plan to go from there.

As for alchy/h2o injection, a shurflo pump off ebay can be had for ~30 if you good at sniping, a Volvo cold start injector will run you about 20, and my boost controller will tell the injector when to open. Also, windshield washer fluid is usually abourt 20-30% meth anyway, so thats a pretty good over the counter mixture to go with.

Wow, I really rambled on...
