Some may recall my post about the turbo eating a coupler, well its a couple weeks later and the turbo is dying

heavy smoke after boost, and after idle, may toss a stagger gap to hold it down a little for now. IDK

anyone wanna donate a small t3 to the poor turbo piggy fund lmk, I'll gladly send a z32 n62 maf or n60 or p60, some of my blood, and pay for shipping on it like the teh eff bomb!!!1!!!eleven!!in terminator " I'll be back"

Yep, out of balance turbos typically dont last long. Sucks though, pick up a Z31 turbo from a JY and be set. Super 60 for under 50 bucks ftmfw.

a T3 turbo off a ford t-bird would work good as well and you can find those from junkyards to.

Or a T3 turbo off a old volvo or saab.

The CT26 from a MR2 or Supra will work as well. Check out their forums and see if anyone has one forsale.

really, is the flange the same , I have a buddy with one IIRC.

yeah I'm gonna start hitting up the yards, or rebuild this one after further inspection... but for the price of parts, comp wheel is done, shaft prob fuct... I might try to be slick and get a center/wheels,makes it looks smaller to the junk dealer thanks guys, and yes withdrawl like a mug, I keep flooring it expecting to move, and I feel like I'm tied

I think it will bolt up, not exactly the same flange...but it looks like a really close bolt pattern. I cranked up that turbo to 20psi on my buddies MR2. The 3SGTE is a 2.0 so it's probably good for 15-18psi on the KA. Far better turbo then the T25 and T28 that people use from the SR.

Friggin people and their cheap bottom mount T2 mani's...lose lose IMO.

Might as well up grade since your in there. Ebay + Holset FTW. The Hy35 would be the closest thing to a small T3. You could try some thing new like a HX30 and see what it does.

Hope you get her running soon. I have been slacking on mine. I am probably 3 hours of work away from it running but, its been like that for over a month.

Pfft, speak for yourself. You should see this abomination of a manifold I've been working on this week. I decided to go with the 38mm external gate I had laying around instead of going with a larger one. Pics will be up soon.

Just so long as you admit to having so much back pressure that you couldn't even keep a gasket in place...we're all good.

Hows that 8 million dollar turbo doing? Oh yeah...you can't run much boost...cause of the T2 thing....
