turbo inlet gasket question

i got a new inlet gasket cause my last one broke apart so this one is a metal one and it has a raised section around the middle does the raised section go into the manifold or into the turbo?? kind of a stupid question but id rather ask then put it on wrong and having to take that manifold off again

I don't think it matters, I noticed that too but I just shoved mine on and went to the next thing.

well i guess ill have to be creative i was gonna go with the raised side to the manifold

i had the same curiousity when i replaced one of my gaskets. i just figured it was from being pressed into shape, and no problems since.

got any of that hi-temp sealant?
