turbo identification

I just bought a redtop sr with an aftermarket turbo the guy said it is a gt2871. How can I identify this turbo? Its polished.

Shouldn't it be stamped on the side?

There is something stamped on the side, but what does this mean ?DK 6140J446179-32

i googled 446179-32 and did the find in page. then i referenced it to garrett's catalog to make sure it was rightit seems you have a 56 trim gt2871r
