turbo help

ok so it's a sr redtop. problem is i'm not getting much boost. I recently rebuilt the head and part of the block along with that i changed all gaskets on intake side and exhaust mani gasket. i put it back together a 2 days ago and it was running perfect. no putter, bogging, no wierd sounds at all. I drove it around for about 30 minuites just breaking it in a bit taking it up to about 4k rpm holding about 10 boost and it was doing good. Took it out again yesterday and was in 3rd gear mid boost around 10 psi was going to take it up to 14 that day and right around 10 the car bucked hard like something popped or a bang. Pulled it over right away since then it wont boost past 0psi vac is -20 or -18 something around their. i can hear the turbo spinning. The engine though is still running perfect. no climbing just a solid hum. but the exhaust is sputtering a bit so thinking i have an exhaust leak. Their is no coolant or oil anywhere coming off car it's been sitting for 9 hours now with a white blanket under and nothing came down. Also my maf is right at intake so if their was a leak after that to engine i would imagine engine wouldnt be running good. Basically asking if you guys think its an exhuast leak or if i'm just not thinking of something. Also if you know how to check for exhaust leaks ha. since i obviously cant spot it with my eye. thanks

you may have pop'd a hole in a hose bro...or the intercooler took a crap...you have the rite idea thou...search not only exahust..but intake hoses aswell..its not uncommon for those hoses to pop off or even blow apart...if you cant find it on a hose....then look verry carfully on the manifolds for cracking...if theres nothing found then..start searching the intercooler for a split seam..good luck..post back what ya find.
