in the middle of s13 sr20det Datsun 510 project....

looking for a turbo, don't want to wait forever for it to spool....

-found a garrett t3/t4 57 trim .63 A/R that's local, kinda cheap...

just wondering how that would work? looking to keep it at stock boost for now. so we can keep the stock tune....later down the road change wg spring and then go for more....

i know a gt28 or a t28 would be great but we are on a budget. any help would be appreciated.....

How much power are you looking to make?Is it top mount or bottom mount?

the turbo you chose should make 300+ hp and good spool time

i want fast spool for now, and about 300hp down the road, looking to keep stock tune for now, so it would work fine with a external wg set for 7 or 8lbs with stock ecu? also will be a top mount. since it does not use water just oil, do i just plug the water line on the block? already removed the water line on the back so it fits in the car....

I would assume you can plug the holes on the block, but you could also run a line inbetween too.

And no you will need a tune because you will need bigger injectors. 7psi on a bigger turbo is not the same as 7psi on a t25

that's what i was wondering. what about a t28, gt28 or gt25,

they would work with the stock tune right?

Thanks for the help.

You could get away with a t28 on 7psi. But your kind of going about this all backwards.

Get all your supporting parts first. Get a EMS a rom tune for what you want to do to the car. It pays to have 2 ecus.

You can't just put a t3 on a stock SR your going to run crazy lean or the ECU will retard the timing so much you wont have any power.
