Any experiences? Thoughts?

I would think that a boosted GA16DE would get good gas milage... partially due to it's ability to resist detonation, which allows it to run slightly leaner mixtures with a little more timing.

Hotshot makes a turbo kit for the GA16DE, and they produced a solid ~160 hp at the wheels on a reliable boost setting.

However... if you were resourceful enough you could put together a simple turbo kit for less money, but it would require some custom work.

Gas milage would be directly proportional to the weight of your right foot.
