Are there any turbo available for the M 08+? and if so, with M is best for the turbo 35 or 45?

JWT has done a couple Twin Turbos. On the M45 I think.
Other companies have done it with the M35 so either will work fine I think.

I may be wrong, but AFAIK, all the turbo's for the 2006+ M have been for the M35. The engine compartment is more cramped in the M45 and I suspect it would be tough to fit one in there.

Not impossible, but tough.

Will this increase the overall hp of the car, or just when it's activated? Does it use a lot more gas? Never driven anything with turbo, but I may be interested in this. Roughly how much to do this?

Well, my friend's built motor with twin turbo G35 put down about 550 to the wheels (not at the crank) so I'm guessing will give you crapload more power. He molested some sort of a Ferrari on the FWY... really really bad. Believe me, power is there and I've never driven a car with this much power and it's ridiculously fast.

Cost wise, he spent about 10k at GTM for parts, installation and tune. His engine is completely built with forged just about everything to keep it more reliable. This is not including some fancy bolt-ons he bought separately.

He did mention it's a high maintenance vehicle if you drive it daily, like he does.

Probably looking at around $10,000
Will also take more gas, will require you to use Premium in your M35 instead of it just being recommended
And yes it will greatly increase the HP of the car. By how much depends on the size of the turbo, if you have one or more turbo's, and the boost you have it configured to.

i would like to see a turbo in m35X i think 0 to 60 will be no Joke!! quarter mile either.

I heard that our AWD system is the same exactly that Nissan used in the Skyline R34!! so am sure the AWD are capable to handle 450+ HP.

Turbos for the M will work..we have more room...the only thing about adding turbos, it'll be a good idea to beef up the internals -- pistons, rods, etc.... due to the engine pushing more load compared to the G -- or you can risk it :naughty: ...yes, GTM does great work....

here's a video of some twin turbo G's (G37 & G35 with the camera car in a 350z) you can see how much more power the G's have being boosted versus a 270hp Z....the red G is well known for his build....my friends that are in the G community have provided me with a lot of info regarding boosting the VQDE motors....

Fluid motorunion did a rear TT mount for an M45. Turbos can be added to any car if the shop is good at what they're doing. Also I think an M35x has been turbo'd, the on that has the purple chameleon paint job. Autofashion did that one I think, mainly for show and not go.

that TT on the M45 (I think is on youtube at a drag)... also I think it's what the owner wants to come out of pocket, too.....big dollars = big power

I think that's the TT M35 from jwt, ran a high 12. IMHO running n2o is more cost effective for our platform. Tuned for a 125 shot would be the highest/safest route to go.

i simple front mount turbo would work, less piping, less hoses, and less problems. i had a single custom ramhorn setup on my track 350z, and a built tt setup on my stret 350z before i swapped in the ls1. you could get away with buying a set of aftermarket350z headers, flipping them, and custom making a crossover pipe to bout the turbo to. i d add an oil pan/oil pan spacer, make a few custom piping pieces, and bolt up a front mount. actually fairly simple. a nice touch would be an osiris tune to avoid the piggyback issues. from what i recall, the trans will hold somewhere around 350whp based on what i read on the g35 auto's. a valvebody kit from transgo or any other company will improve shifting capabilities. i contemplated turboing my m, but its my daily and reliability is my main concern.

supercharger!! Stillen System i think is very reliable, plus S/C are more reliable than turbo less maintenance.

in Bahrain because of the Hot weather, we prefer S/C. Turbo cars only go out in the winter. ( cold weather )

HKS has done some supercharger for the VQ35DE engine (the one in our car). Most of their work is for the G35 but they also do M35's and other things along those lines. GTM also has some packages that use the HKS and some upgrades to the system for our cars.

whatever that you choose to do, remember this

Reliability and Driveability are your 2 most important concepts.

The last thing you want to do is dumping a whole lot of cash just so you can drive for several days and then spent the next three months in a shop waiting for it to get fix/tune/work on.

trust me, i've seen tons of this in the Euro scene as my other car is an Audi TT. With that said, if this done right, it will be one sick car. but i emphasis on the "RIGHT" part because "RIGHT = $$$$$$$$$" ! At the end of the day, you need to ask yourself if it's worth it.

As bbs350z said, our transmissions are actually well overbuilt and are rated for up to 350HP at the wheels :)
Just need to do a little bit of work inside the engine and your good to go. Maybe throw in a transmission cooler to be safe too.

stay away from the hks, overpriced, and undersized imho. the stillen (if it clear the hood) is also a very very weak system but the only roots type supercharger available. i say go for vortech, the next best step is procharger.

with all this power must come drivetrain upgrades. my understanding is the 5at auto is much more stout in the rwd version when compared to the awd version. id look into what the g35x guys are doing to theirs for reference.

I've never been able to find any info on the TT M45 build. Anyone have any links?

From what I have found it just pictures. Can't seem to find them now, only of the front that shows the intercooler. I think they did it for looks and never actualy hooked em up. I even sent them an email about it a while ago and they said they're changing things up but never said anything about hp gains or anything. They have a ton of blog posts on it for eveything except the TT install.
