turbo fitting question

ok i got the ca18det stock turbo on my car and i got a aftermarket downpipe very expensive and i wanted to know if theres any way to fit a different turbo without having to change the down pipe... srry for the idiot questions...

You will have to use an SR20 Dump pipe. It will bolt to your CA T25. Or cut and weld the flange on the downpipe in order for it to line up on the CA dump pipe. Good Luck!

The actual turbo shouldn't have any effect on the downpipe. If you're changing the O2 pipe it might. The reason is that the triangle shaped flang on the CA isn't aligned the same as the SR, so sometimes you have to have the downpipe flange cut and rewelded, not a big deal to have done though.
