Does anyone know any aftermarket brands that make a turbo exhuast manifold for the L28 motor? if there is even one...

I havent seen any, only custom ones costing 800+ dollars... best bet is to use the stock L28et one.. unless you can make your own or have serious coin...

nope, other than a few small run custom jods no one makes them, and as stated they cost a whole lotta dollars when they do, 800 would be on the low end, the stock manifold isn't terribly restrictive and there are plenty of stock maniifolds making in excess of 400 whp, if you plan to build for much more plan to open your wallet

there are I believe some supra injectors taht use the barb type injector with a higher flow rate, the problem is that your ecu still thinks you have the smaller stock injectors, so you run rich, the palnet or similar fuel rail is a bargaina t aobut $100 and allows you to use the far more common o-ring fuel injectors, I'm currently running dsm injectors, but I'm also running megasquirt n spark to compensate

I'll assume here that you just fot a stock 83 turbo swapped 280z, and want more power, first thing is add an intercooler, then a boost controller, you can run up to about 10 psi without issue, with the intercooler you can run up to 13-14 psi but much more and the hg becomes a weakpoint and you'll want ARP headstuds and a metal HG, then you can turn up the boost to about 18 psi where the stock turbo kinda runs out of steam, this should put you in the250 whp range, if you want more the injecotrs, fuel pump and turbo all need to be upsized

I also heard 2nd gen rx-7 turbo injectors fit as well, is that false information?

but right now I have an l28 n/a thats built for turbo, im going to run stock turbo parts from the l28et motor, but I want more power. So right now i'm having a hard time finding the right direction for that purpose.

the rx used barb injectors with higher flow rates but they only used 2 so you'll need 3 sets, and agian with a stock ecu will run rich

the stock l28 can handle the stock boost levels but you still need the turbo ecu, injectors harness etc

lets start over agian

what do you want to achieve? and what have you got?

I'm trying to achieve HP around 400+

I have a 280z(l28/n42). My motor has already been rebuilt stronger for turbo(arp studs/bolts, ross pistons, valve job, new camshaft(488/.488[valve lift], 262°/262°[duration], etc..) and i'm running a stand alone engine management.

400+ at the wheel or crank? what compression ratio is your engine? what HGthickness? what managment system are you running? and that cam is a high lift short duration cam, if you want to build a turbo you'll want more duration, that being aid we'll assume you have a nice little 8.5:1 with more duation, you're gonna want some 500cc injectors ro there abouts, a turbo that'll flow 50 lbs/min or better, an efficient fromt mount intercooler, piping, turbo manifold, some form of boost control be it an internal or external wastegate, you'll want a BOV to keep the turbo from fighting itself everytime you offthrottle or shift, the L28ET oil an has the provision for the oil drain, or you can add a bung to your current oil pan, you'll need an oil "T" and lines to feed tot he turbo, and assuming you get a watercooled center section you'll need the plumbing for that as well, high flow fuel pump, and it's a lot easier to find injectors taht use o-rings so a fuel rail would be a goo dideal as well, and a good AFPR with gauge, and that should cover it

the civic is known as the S00p3rturd, and it's a throw back to the richard petty nascar #43 superbird, it's featured in the current issue of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine, the Hogn Norr builders are a great buch of guys and tallented builderd driver and drinkers you can find them and taht car at many Atlanta area autocrosses

and yes both of my cars are/were completed, the 240 will be recieving a large brake upgrade and a V6, the Z31 will get stripped down and repainted as the Bob sharp #84 Z31 with complete suspension overhaul, I'll post details when I get back to them, right now the Z32 takes all of my time
