i'm taking off my turbo elbow so i can put in a new stainless steel elbow. anyways i don't have the new elbow yet so i'm taking off the factory rusted one. anyways i was just wondering how many bolts/nuts there are where the turbo elbow connects to the turbo? because it looks like i have all of them off and the thing doesn't want to come off. so if someone that's taken off their elbow before could let me know hwo many bolts/nuts there are? also do i need to remove the manifold heatshield in order to remove the elbow?thanks

5 bolts. two on the bottom, one on the side, and two on top. there is one on top next to the block that can be overlooked

You should be able to get it off with the heatshield still on
