fyi... its hard as hell to install it (unless you just remove the exhaust mani/turbo assembly).

the hard part is the 2 bottom nuts that attach to these...

ugh... seriously, when you get under your car and try removing/putting on those nuts, you'll probably as pissed of at Nissan as I was...

you'll see, theres like no room to put a damn box wrench in. Its probably easier just to remove the turbo and install it that way.

I prefer to put the elbow on/off when the turbo is still attached to the motor in the car. It's a PITA to try to get the whole assembly out around the steering column.

Once you've done a few elbows, it's really not that hard. My best advice is that you need to start the nuts when a bit of the stud pops through the holes of the elbow. If you seat the elbow against the turbo then try to start the nuts, it's always guaranteed that the second nut will have clearance issues getting started.

Just order the studs for a 300ZX turbo.

You can print off this picture if you want so you can show them where it is exactly. The stud is in between the turbo and outlet neck in the diagram labelled '14414M' The nuts for them are listed as '14432'. Since you're using new studs, I recommend new nuts as well as Nissan uses a material that resists rusting.

Upgrading to an S15 turbo was probably harder for me than my entire sr and 5spd swap...

Like adrian said, that shiz was ridiculous.

Trying to get the newer bigger turbo in WITH the elbow attached wasn't working with the steering column as bart mentioned. So I had to take the elbow off and then put it on. Turning the wrench 1mm at a time was sooooo annoying...that is once you could get the wrench in there to actually be able to turn it.

Anyway loosen some bolts from your exhaust so you can pull it down to make things easier. And make sure you follow hijacker's advice about the second nut.

Oh and have a lot of patience haha.

I think the thing that helps infinitely on the lower two nuts is to have a long 1/4" drive extension with a flex socket attached to the end. One of the perks of having access to a fully stocked tool box from a professional is I get to use some really nice, and expensive tools. Also, short combo wrenches work well up there as you can turn them a little further since they aren't long enough to contact the firewall.
