ok i have a problem im hoping you turbo guys can help with.

i got a turbo from a rb25dett from the gtr.the problem im having is that the o2 housing is hitting my steering arm.so i need to get a new one made.but i dont know what the flange bolt pattern is.i know it isnt the same as a t25 from the sr.the turbos back have is a nismo( bnr2 i think thats right).it started as a to4b turbo but the compressor was replaced with a hks housing.and the it has a t2 flange were you bolt it to the manifold.i

i didnt know if anyof yall know what the bolt pattern was on the skyline or not.i will get a pic of the bolt pattern later today when i take it back off.heres some pics of it bolted up.

any help would be great.

Which Turbo is it?The RB25DET (ONE T) is the GTS-25T modelThe RB26DETT is the GT-R model and has slightly smaller turbos(IIRC) as it's twin turbo.

Either you got a little mixed up or were misinformed.

AFAIK, the T28's that come on the RB26 are actually smaller and less efficient than an S14/15 T28. The compressor A/R is something like .48. They are similar to an SR T25 in terms of power output.

im sorry it was a rb26dettwhen i got the turbos.the guy told me they was hks gt2530's.but to come to find out that they didnt say gt2530 on the tag.so i ran the numbers and it came back as a nismo turbo. i called the guy and told him about that and he then called the guy he got the motor from and he said that he rebuilt the turbo and put the hks housing on it and bigger compressor wheel.and it was the same as a hks 2530.but i dont know i just want to get this damn thing running.

but i did find out today that the rear 5 bolt pattern is the same as a hks gt2530 turbo.so i got a dump pipe order for that turbo now.so i hope it fixs the fitment problem.

RB26dett turbos use a unique 5 bolt outlet flange not shared with any other motor. R32-early production R34's are the same. The stock turbos use a .48 turbine/ .54 compressor I believe. I used to have a set of those turbos and they are basically worthless and they only support around 325 hp at the wheels in twin configuration anyway. no one sells a flange for that so hopefully your new outlet will fit. If not you may have to do a bit of custom welding to make it work. Good luck

I think you'd be better off making up a flange like I have done. This was partly due to the same reasons as you, though my main concern was not the angle of the O2 in relation to the steering shaft (as RHD here in Aus), but the angle of the dump pipe, and different flange that wont line up with other exhaust setup for SR20 style dump pipe etc..

Also, the fact that no other T25/28 turbo other than the GTR uses this 5 bolt pattern is a real pain if you ever want to change to the common T25/28 style. I made a few of these plates up to play around with and make up a dump pipe to suit my HKS 2510 GTR turbo on my CA, and its also compatible with normal style T2x series too.

Thankyou for the welcome

The flange was laser cut. I wouldnt bother making these for anyone else, I would however put up a DXF cad file - but be warned its not quite as simple as using this flange and then swapping turbos as you like..

GTR style flange STILL has a few minor dimension differences. This just takes the major part out of the equation.
