14 psi off/on driving for 2.5 yearsdriving one night starting sounding like a supercharger
Found this
Comparision
So I Figure:
14 psi + 2.5 years = bearing failure = self destruction with shaft play of compressor wheel
up and down AND in and out shaft play
I got another T25 for money sake
and then after a 2 months but like 2 weeks of driving
then
nick in all the fins
NO Shaft play and still builds boost
so i dont know what is causing this but have ideas
IDEA:
when the last one tore apart i tore down the block and intercooler and cleaned everything out
checked to see if i had something loose or hole in the intake system NOTHING
i put it back together
This time i was moving around the air intake filter and it was full of large compressor scrapes (like 1/16th by 1/16th size)
i am pretty sure they are not from this turbo since there are nicks and scratches not total destruction
so i figure it is from the other turbo AND MY MISTAKE i should have checked and cleaned the air intake filter
QUESTIONS:
but HOW WOULD THE METAL GET BACK UP THE AIR INTAKE AND INTO THE FILTER??????????
CAN I run this turbo still or will it be unbalanced and destroy itself??
I believe it will be unbalance and i should replace it but i need conformation
sorry for long post and questions but I need help and some solutions
