so I started up my TT tonight and heard a noise taht at first sounded like bad bearings in a tensioner pulley, then it occoured to me that it was likely one or both turbo's grinding away at their housings, so looks like I'm gonna need to replace rebuild opr upgrade the turbo's.
do the TT's use garret centersections? anyone got the part numbers for appropriately sized garret t28 compressor wheels and housings? I figure if I rebuild them myself it'll be less than the cost of one remanufactured turbo. I've already got more money in this car than it's worth, but I figure if I up the turbo's and remap the ecu and maybe a decent rrfpr, I should be able to get into the 300whp range without having to upsize the injectors and at least it'll be more fun to drive
