Yes you can block the coolant line to the block with a plug. The coolant feed line comes from the top of the intake manifold at the back and runs behind the head. You could just take the rubber hose off of the line connecting to the head and plug it with a rubber plug. They sell misc. rubber caps at any automotive store.

Should be very straight forward.

when i looked in the fsm it says the one behind the head is the return line and the one coming from the block under the exhuast manifold is the feed line. can i just cap of the line at the block? then what about the return line behind the head an i just leave itopen or what???

If you left that open you'd have no pressure in your cooling system!

If you have the money you could use a Nismo force field generator but I would just use a rubber cap.

so basically i can put a bolt into the block to cap the coolant feed line, then i can cut the banjo fitting off of the return line and put a cap on it , and its done?

i just wanted to make shure that the return line didnt feed coolant to anywhere else before i went and blocked it off

On the 20 it is a hard line that runs behind the head and then hits a rubber hose somewhere under the intake. I would follow it to that point and wherever the rubber hose comes from cap it there. Don't cut the hard line; some guy with get a motor with a munched one and you will be able to hook him up.
