Hey,

So one day im leaving my drive way and i notice a leak. so i take it to my mechanic. and i find out that its my turbo coolant line. now the problem is that the metal piece coming out the turbo where the hoses attaches to has a hole in it so thats where it leaking from. i can save the turbo and cut that metal piece down a bit and attach the hose to it. but now the problem is. whats the best way to get this done.? does he have to pull the motor out?

he said something about dropping the trany to get to it.. anyways thats my problem the turbo coolant line to the turbo is leaking fluid so what do i do. this is my daily driver and i need to get it fixed asap. so please tell me what the best way to deal with this is.

Thanks

Your mechanic is right when he says you have to drop the trans at least to get to the turbos. Most people do just pull the engine. It's a good excuse to do so.

If you're taking the car to a mechanic, he *should* know the proper way to do everything. He'll probably suggest new turbos, just FYI. Not doubting your method, that's just what he's gonna suggest. At the price of new turbos, might as well upgrade for a little bit more.
