I have a SOHC. A lot of people recommend I get a T3 (GT32?) turbo. My dilemma is that a lot of the manifolds I see are for the "T3/T4" bolt pattern. Does this mean that I can use that manifold with the T3 OR the T4 or just for a T3/T4 hybrid?

Also, will there always have to be a custom downpipe when doing ka-t? (unless the company that sells the turbo has a downpipe for it). I don't see how I'd get one made without towing the car to an exhaust shop for fitting.

If the manifold says it uses T3/T4 flange, then it's for both. There should be two different bolt patterns on it.

^ yep. T3/T4 hybrid means it has a T3 turbine and therefore needs a T3 manifold.

Unless the mfg'er of the manifold also produces a downpiipe, it will have to be custom. JGS and IAP sell a downpipe with their manifolds.

FYI, the GT32 uses a T3 inlet flange...
