i clocked my turbo and thought it was all gravy, put on gasket maker on manifold and downpipe and have everything bolted up

and now i realize my banjo fitting for coolant is angled down and it is leaking, and i cant get to it unless i clock the turbo again, not only that my oil return is hitting my mani, causing it to burn

real big piss off and i have unbolted all the bolts for the compressor side and exhaust side of the turbo, they arn't off just twist able and i still cant move the center peice to clock it

do i have to take the whole turbo off again just to clock it and then put it on again? this will be a big pain in the a** and i need my car running tomorrow! need quick help please!

z31 turbo if it helps

No you can clock the turbo without taking it off. Just loosen the retainers and turn it. However with the older turbos, sometimes the CHRA is stuck pretty tightly to the exhaust housing, if you havnt already broken that seal with your first time clocking it.

If you already were able to spin the exhaust side then your good to go. Just loosen the bolts and twist the CHRA.

Are you running the internal gate?
