Just bought me a lovely 300zx and I have two questions on it

1. The engine it has on it does not turn on. Its an N/A with about 140k on it. It turns over but does not turn on. My question is, what is a common problem that engine fails to turn on? I'd like to fix the Z to get it at least running from point A to point B

2. I will switch the engine for an engine that is prepared for TT charge. What are some of the common issues I will be running into when I do this?

1. Is it getting spark? Fuel?

2. If you're going to convert it to a tt, then you're gonna need a lot more than just the motor

It seems like it's getting spark. I will check up on the fuel pump and fuel lines.

And yea I know I will have to change the transmission and all this extra stuff, but will I have to change the differential?

You could use the transmission already in the car. All you would need to do is maching the inside of the bellhousing to accept the larger tt flywheel. After that, you would need a spacer for your starter.

If you want to swap to a tt differential, then you would pretty much need the tt subframe as well

Be sure to see the "Everything you need to know about the Z32" sticky at the top of the Z32 page, it lists most everything you need to know about our cars and/or points you in the right direction to find tougher answers.
Basically, a TT swap (which is what you are asking about) is a complicated undertaking best left to experienced wrenches or pros, and the cost alone ($2-3K parts, $3-5K labor or you do) keeps it that way for the most part. There is FAR more to it than the basic questions you asked about.
