I just recently purchased a turbo blanket. Man does it cut down heat alot. Well it didnt come with anything to tie the ends together. I called teh company I bought it from and they said it should be alright if I just set it on the turbo it shouldnt go anywhere. I paid 115 bucks for it and I dont want it to go flying out my car while I am driving. What should I use to keep it together? I was thinking of tie wire but if anyone has any suggestions. It doesnt have buttons it has 2 things that look similiar to rivets on all 4 corners. Should I take it off every now and then since it is a oil cooled turbo? or does that not even matter. Thanks

You'd take more time to do that, than it would be to start your car and boost to the store and boost back with proper protection, not to mention she'd probably say no if you had a heat blanket on ya.

LOL this reminds me I need to buy one shortly. Just use hose clamps, it's what I use to hold the ends of my heat wrap on my downpipe.

hahaha someone told me that i would need to take it off because it would keep all the heat in and bake the oil that is in the turbo. Thanks for the info. I'll definately make sure I dont take the turbo blanket to my girls house. hahahaha

metal ss hose clamps will do the trick. if on a budget, metal wire will also work.

thats when the turbo timer kicks in, makes the turbo cool down, while engine runs and keeps flowin oil so that it doesn't cake in the turbo.

as for keepin the blanket in, i'd guess a couple of hose clamps would do the job.
