I've read the mega camshaft thread and half been researching both turbo and cam combination's for a while now. Not many have my set up and the few that do don't give opinons. I just want a few opinions. I have a s13 blacktop SR20 getting built up. The head has had a 5 angle valve job and a port and polish done. It has new oem hydraulic liifters, valve seals and rocker arms with isis rocker arm stoppers. also has BC springs and titianium retainers Its also going to be getting the jim wolfe tune so the cars redline will be 7800 rpm. this car is a dd. I want an overall power gain throughout the RPM range as jim wolf seems to promise with the S3 cams. But the tome procam 260's seem plausible too. And would settling with a S3's or tomei not fully benefit all the machine work ive done including my isis manifold. Im going to be running a GT2871R .64 and wondered i anyone thinks there is a better cam set up than this for this car. The main thing is i dont want to sacrifice any more torque unless the gain in horsepower is substantial in comparison. Also will S3 cams or more aggressive cams work well with hydraulic lifters at 7800 rpms or are they gonna be prone to aerate. im not switching to solid lifters already shelled 360 for new hydraulics. and on the jim wolf site it doesn't mention S3's for use with the 240sx. It says it matches the sentra's gear spread. just wondering thanks for anybody with any suggestions.

WAY too specific for 240gen. Try the SR forum.

7800 is not a problem, I'm running the bc step 2 cams(If memory serves they are a little more aggressive than the s3) and I'm spinning to 8.2k with zero issues.

The JW s3 cams are a good match for the 2871, and I feel that anything more aggressive than the BC cams I'm running would be pointless with a 2871. I feel that the BC step 2 cams are a little on the high side of optimal for the 2871.
