http://youtube.com/watch?v=nUnVxCQzbaA 700rpm launch due to stock rubber and 33psi = 13.1 @ 108they told me i couldn't race anymore without a helmet. I'm in the market for some steel wheels and nitto drags and of course a helmet. I'll be back out there hopefully runnin' 12's in a few weeks. Enjoy!

here was my first run of the two that night. didn't heat the tires (first run didn't push it too hard) and FORGOT TO TURN OFF THE VDC trapped 104 and ran 14.5http://youtube.com/watch?v=DLyBlPwtd08

with a proper launch, pushing ~ 350 whp, you better hit some high 12's next time buddy.... wait, don't you need roll cages if you hit 12's or is it 11's?

A roll cage is mandatory in all cars running 10.99 (6.99) and quicker or if you trap over 135.

there are some other factors that can make you have to have a roll cage, but i'm far far far from hitting 10's. Will prolly never happen in this car.

gotcha... so with 11's and 12's, you only need a helmet? cool... honestly, if you ever wanna take a road trip... come out to SOCAL... It'd be cool to hang out for a weekend, and take you and Blake's car to the track!!! Let me know if you ever wanna take a road trip... we're gonna show Brian all the ignorance Cali has to offer when he comes out here next month!

Good vids man, congratulations thats quick on our terrible stock tires. I ran at the track friday before I saw the greatest movie ever, it was a fun time and an unforgettable day after seeing the movie. I need boost ASAP, low 14's is no where near fast enough for me. Some Toyo T1-R's will get the job done on the track.

If you run a 13.9 you have to wear a helmet.

for those wanting to run their cars at the track here's a list of the rules at all NHRA tracks. This will give you an idea of what to and not to bring with you. Also, if you're in a pretty much stock A/C you won't need a helmet. - A valid state driver's license is required for all drivers. - All drivers are required to wear long pants, a shirt with sleeves (no tank tops) , and closed toe shoes (no sandals). - All vehicles are required to have at least one functional taillight. - Drivers in cars running 13.99 (8.59) seconds or quicker, and all dune buggy type vehicles runnning 14.00 (8.60) and slower are required to wear a helmet meeting SNELL 95 or SFI 31.1, 31.2, 41.1, or 41.2 Specs - Drivers running 10.00 (6.40) to 11.49 (7.35) must wear a jacket meeting SFI Spec 3.3/1. - Drivers running 9.99 (6.39) to 7.50 (4.50) or any vehicle exceeding 135 mph are required to wear a jacket and pants meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/5 and gloves meeting SFI Spec 3.3/1. - A valid NHRA Competition license is required for any vehicle running 9.99 (6.39) or quicker. - All motorcycle riders are required to wear a full face helmet meeting above Specs, leather jacket, leather boots/shoes above the ankle, and leather gloves. Full all leathers or SFI Spec 40.1/2 suit is mandatory on all motorcycles running 120 mph or faster. - A seat belt is mandatory in all cars. A three inch driver restraint system meeting SFI Spec 16.1 is mandatory in all cars running 11.49 (7.35) or quicker, and in convertibles running 13.49 (8.25) or quicker and all dune buggy type vehicles. - A roll bar is required on all cars running 11.00 (7.00) to 11.49 (7.35) and in convertibles running 11.00 to 13.49 and in all dune buggy type vehicles running 12.00 and slower. See the NHRA Rule Book for more detailed information. - A roll cage is mandatory in all cars running 10.99 (6.99) and quicker or any car exceeding 135 mph. See NHRA Rule Book for more information. - A driveshaft loop is required on all cars running 13.99 (8.59) seconds and quicker, except vehicles running 13.00 and slower equipped with street tires

going straight on the track there is zero tq. steer. when coming out of corners at wot while high in rpm's with the wheel still turned there is a slight bit, but not enough to make me lose control. nissan did a pretty good job controlling the torque steer on this car, but with any fwd drive car to date, turbo or not you'll be able to feel a little bit.

wow you realize if you get slicks and get the boost upped a bit you'll be the fastest altima out their....you realize the quickest altima was a 1st gen sedan that ran 12.7, you wont have a hard time hitting that soon

Thats crazy fast considering the stock tires and for a launch from idle. But, I've gotta ask, is that "33psi" a typo?

33 psi would turn my motor into a bomb with the throttle/pedal being the detonator. Never gonna happen in this motor. if it does, i'm not gonna be the first.

yep, 12.7 is pretty fast and hopefully I'll get there one day, but with a stock motor and clutch I'm really not sure how much more boost the car will safely take and last long term (that's all in kenny's hands as parts become availible). 6 lbs of boost so far so good. Haven't had one problem and the car runs just like it did the day i drove it off the showroom floor (just a little faster). I don't have a scanner for the time slip. I'll either take a pic or post the full results up.

It looks like SFR made all the jigs off blakes kit so you might wanna wait tell he gets his car back and go from there. Also, turbochargers as of right now does not have a altima coupe cvt turbokit in development and possibly might not ever. As far as that goes, if you have the cash, i'm sure they'll build one on your car, but the price tag is not gonna be cheap. You'll have to contact them on that note and go from there.

speaking about the clutch, did you hear anything from JWT yet. im kind of working on something here, and gonna try and test it out, but im not sure if it will work as of yet. if i find something, i will definately let you all know.

btw good run. what was your 60' times like. they were probably crap with those turanzas. anyways with a trap speed of 108, you should be looking to run mid to high 12's, and you are making approximately 300-320whp!

Hey altima 08. I've got a question. I've been trying to decide between the nismo, greddy ti-c, and borla exhaust for a long time. I want to pick an exhaust with a significant audible difference (although not to overpowered) with a pretty good increase in performance. Which one do you think I should pick?
