gotcha... so with 11's and 12's, you only need a helmet? cool... honestly, if you ever wanna take a road trip... come out to SOCAL... It'd be cool to hang out for a weekend, and take you and Blake's car to the track!!! Let me know if you ever wanna take a road trip... we're gonna show Brian all the ignorance Cali has to offer when he comes out here next month!08altima35 wrote:A roll cage is mandatory in all cars running 10.99 (6.99) and quicker or if you trap over 135.
there are some other factors that can make you have to have a roll cage, but i'm far far far from hitting 10's. Will prolly never happen in this car.

going straight on the track there is zero tq. steer. when coming out of corners at wot while high in rpm's with the wheel still turned there is a slight bit, but not enough to make me lose control. nissan did a pretty good job controlling the torque steer on this car, but with any fwd drive car to date, turbo or not you'll be able to feel a little bit.spockrock wrote:Nice..... How is the torque steer with the turbo??
Yup, Ill see it on your front bumper, through my mirror08altima35 wrote:drive the car out there and give blake a good feel for what a texas license plate looks like. just kidding
Thats crazy fast considering the stock tires and for a launch from idle. But, I've gotta ask, is that "33psi" a typo?08altima35 wrote:700rpm launch due to stock rubber and 33psi = 13.1 @ 108
33 psi would turn my motor into a bomb with the throttle/pedal being the detonator. Never gonna happen in this motor. if it does, i'm not gonna be the first.adidas2go wrote:his tires were at 33psi, not the turbo

wow you realize if you get slicks and get the boost upped a bit you'll be the fastest altima out their....you realize the quickest altima was a 1st gen sedan that ran 12.7, you wont have a hard time hitting that soon
It looks like SFR made all the jigs off blakes kit so you might wanna wait tell he gets his car back and go from there. Also, turbochargers as of right now does not have a altima coupe cvt turbokit in development and possibly might not ever. As far as that goes, if you have the cash, i'm sure they'll build one on your car, but the price tag is not gonna be cheap. You'll have to contact them on that note and go from there.windex wrote:Thats the kind of info that I have been waiting on. Any word on when turbochargers is putting the cvt under the knife?
D'oh!adidas2go wrote:his tires were at 33psi, not the turbo
speaking about the clutch, did you hear anything from JWT yet. im kind of working on something here, and gonna try and test it out, but im not sure if it will work as of yet. if i find something, i will definately let you all know.08altima35 wrote:yep, 12.7 is pretty fast and hopefully I'll get there one day, but with a stock motor and clutch I'm really not sure how much more boost the car will safely take and last long term (that's all in kenny's hands as parts become availible). 6 lbs of boost so far so good. Haven't had one problem and the car runs just like it did the day i drove it off the showroom floor (just a little faster). I don't have a scanner for the time slip. I'll either take a pic or post the full results up.
