Hey guys, I have the opportunity of buying from a friend a T3/T04 turbo, along with the new manifold, and all oil and water lines for $500. The thing I'm wondering is should I do it? The turbo specs are as follows: "its a small t3/t4. its a .48 a/r exhuast housing(not sure of the wheel) w/ a .42 t3 compressor hsng machined for a t5/6 to4b wheel. very well responding turbo". Should I go for it? I'm thinking I'm going to, but if you guys think that I shouldn't and would be better suited with the stock T28, please tell me. Thanks Chris

you can get a brand new T3/T4 with whatever specs you want for not much more than 550-600 if you look around on the net.

Don't have the SR20 yet, I'm thinking that I could buy this, and upgrade in the future, I know that I'm going to buy a FMIC, maybe forged pistons, although a few guys I know said that I don't need that until about ~350 HP and this turbo made 300 on my friends SR, also going to be upgrading the fuel injectors, and fuel pump, getting a boost controller, BOV, thicker head gasket, downpipe, exhuast, and probably a cluch/flywheel. I know you can get a new T3/T4, but I'm also getting the header, and lines, which on top of the T3/T4 would cost me a bundle. Seems like a pretty good deal to me Chris

Make no mistake, a header is not a turbo manifold. Headers are for NA cars. Well the T28 could put out about 300 too with proper tuning.

I like the t28 turbo. It s a great all around turbo. The T3/t4 is a bad *** turbo. My friend running one and he's very happy. But it all depends on you hp/tq goals

Hey I can get a really good deal on a S14 Sr, and was wondering if the S14 T28 turbo would allow me to hit 300hp at the crank or even at the wheels? that is my goal my following mods will be:

intake, 3 in exhaust, 3 in downpipe, 255 lph walbro fuel pump, Greddy V spec FMIC, boost controller, ACT clutch, & ecu reprogram

I have 2 friend that have sr's, one with a s15 turbine and one with an s14 turbine. Both have 256 cams, z32 MAFS, headgasket, intercooler, full exhaust, the 15 guy has a stainless ex. mani, and the 14 is stock mani. The 15 turbine hit [email protected] boost at the wheels and the s14 hit [email protected] at the wheels. So yes with the proper tuning it is really easy to hit 300 on stock internals and turbine.

Hey kouki180, would you happen to have (or have access to) the dyno sheets for those runs? I'd love to see them.

Thanks.
