Ok here is what my plans are, any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated, this will be my first KA-T build and I wan't to do it right. I am looking to make around 350 hp with the power coming in around 2500 to 3000 RPM. So here is my list.

Supertech springs w/Ti retainers and seatsSupertech .5 over intake valvesSupertech .7 over inconel exahust valvesJE pistonsARP studs all the way around Shoot peen(sp?) rods91 CamsTurbo KitSR20 InjectorsFull port and polishIntake manifold upgrade and 90 mm infinty TB

Now what I need to know is:Who makes a good turbo intake manifold?Any suggestions on who to send head to for port and polish? What would be the proper turbo for what I am looking to do?Any other Suggestions/ideas?Thanks for the help

Any reputable machine shop should be able to do a good port and polish and/or valve job.

As far as the intake manifold goes, you can get one from xcessive motorsports:

Although it's probably not needed if you're looking for relatively "modest" power levels of around 350hp. Instead of using that $500 on an intake manifold, use that to BUY NEW FORGED CONNECTING RODS. Shot-peening the stock-rods won't do; supposedly they're shot-peened from the factory. You can either go with Turbo240 (a sponsor here) connecting rods for about $550, or get crowers (supposed to be able to handle even more power, although for 350 hp, turbo240 rods are plenty beefy) for about $650.

You still haven't mentioned fuel management....you have a few options. If I were you, I'd go the Enthalpy ECU route....plug-and-play out of the box and a much better tune than JWT's will allow you to get 350hp on 550 cc injectors or 50 lb/hr MSD style....if you want more than 350, go with MSD 72lb/hr fuel injectors.

As far as the turbo goes, you seem to want a quick spooling turbo that comes in around 2500-3000 rpm. The problem is, if you want to make a lot of power up top, as your cams/port/polish/oversized valves would lead me to believe, the turbo will need to have a big enough turbine to flow well up top and not choke the engine, and such a turbine will necessarily be a bit laggy, although not bad. You could go with a T3/T04E "50" trim, which seems to be the flagship turbo for a mid-power KA-T build. If you choose a .48 a/r turbine, you will have excellent power down low and it will spool very quickly; however, it will not flow as well up top. I'd say get the .63 a/r turbine, and a stage III turbine wheel if possible, with the T04E "50" trim compressor.

I'm running a .63 a/r turbine and stage III wheel on a super 60 T3 and it's not laggy at all (running around 14-16 psi). Although this turbo does take longer to spool than my old .48 a/r turbine, the ab ility to flow and hold boost all the way to redline more than compensates for the little extra lag. Besides, the extra lag is good for gas mileage-easier to stay out of boost and run economically.

Hope that helped.

Yeah I didn't know what I wanted to do for the tune, I do know that I have no clue how to tune so I definitly wanted to go with something like the JWT or better. You mentioned the Enthalpy tune, I am new to 240's so where can I find info on them and a web site, also what does their tune run cost wise?My other question I forgot to ask was should I go with the larger pistons or stay with the stock bore (assumeing I can)?Last thing. You nailed one of the turbos I was thinking about right on, T3/T04e, but I was looking at the t 25/t28 or even a gt28 how do these compare?

They pale in comparison. All of those are sub 300hp turbochargers on the KA.

For some reason I thought the disco potato was good to 350hp, glad I asked the question then.In reading more it seems to me that the gt series of turbos seem to be more efficient and for lack of a better term just better than a t3/to4e. Am I correct something like the GT3076R would give me the fast spool I want and still flow all the way to the red line? Also I guess the sr injectors wont hold up to my goal so what injectors do I use with my stock fuel rail?

for sidefeed injectors that go in the stock rail, you can go with deatschwerks which is a sponsor. the 555s which i just got last week are $300 and being a nico member you get free shipping. you can also send them your stock injectors back for a $50 core refund. so all in all you only end up spending 250 for brand new injectors that come with a flow sheet and all the works like orings and lube. def dont go on ebay for some injectors as i learned the hardway and got ripped on some denso 550s.
