Ka24e.....hopefully soon to be t?Ive started to put my turbo on today, but i dont know how well it will work. I ripped out the entire exhaust, and i ran my intercooler piping to my already installed intercooler. Now im running without wiper fluid and no permanent battery. I ran my oil inlet line witch was easier that i thought it would be, and i mounted my homemade manifold and t3 turbo on and connected the lines. I pre-oiled my turbo, and started the beast up. The wheel on the turbo spun reluctantly for a while but now it spins pretty free. After i felt confident in my lines (no leaks or busted tubes) i road tested it. Loud, smokey, and illegal. One problem i ran into is that my manifold is so long, that my turbo bangs into my brake booster while in reverse. now i have to think of how im getting down to Nicks house to weld up my bov bung and exhaust .

Sounds like its comin along nicely. How long did it take you to put all the turbo parts on? Did you do a full engine rebuild also?

what r u using for fuel and timing....if your 7psi or under you only need a walbro fuel pump....stock ecu and stock injectors will compensate alright...ask import ant...it does for his.

The reason it is smokey is because i forgot to add that i used some profesional grade BG-44k on the fuel system and it is blowing out all of my carbon on my valves. BG-44k is used by Jeff Wyler automotive on all of their cars that need serviced and it cleans your injectors, valves, and upper engine deposits. But i did fix my manifold yesterday. My friend Ben came over and we had to cut my manifold in half and reweld it, witch wasn't fun but it was something that needed done. Now our biggest problem is the downtube, because i made my manifold so big that i need to take out my air conditioning line to propperly fit the downtube to be welded. For fuel, i am using a 8:1 obx FMU to take care of that, if i need it. As far as boost, i don't know how much i am going to use. I have a 6lb spring in my wastegate, and a manual boost controller, so i think i will adjust boost from there once i get it running, untill it starts to run lean, and i will just leave it there (probably 7-8psi). The only other little thngs that i am using that aren't really related is a 185 degree thermostat, new water temp sensor, and a plugged egr.

No engine rebuild (130k miles)It took me about 2-3 days to put everything on

Hopefully it will be done soon, like next thursday!!!!!
