Hey Guys,

On my 02 Altima 2.5SL I have the OEM/Factory Bridgestone Turanza EL42's on their right now and I was just curious for the treadwear on it? I can't seem to find info about them anywhere and if I do find info its very mixed information.

Thanks!

The EL42 has a treadwear rating of 260 A A

A A meaning the best of the traction and temperature grade.

The tire should last 160% longer according to the rating.

I got my info from Bridgestone's site. Wonder why its more on Discount Tire?

**Edit I'm an idiot nevermind I was looking at the wrong size. It does have a BB rating instead of AA for traction and temp though. Slightly less.

Great! Thanks guys, I don't want to sound like an idiot but what does that convert into for mileage or kilometer wise? (Even a rough estimate is fine) The car is sitting at 77 almost 78k Kilometers and I was thinking if I should keep this for a tad bit longer or swap them just before winter hits.

Thanks!

Im looking at getting the Yokohama AVID TRZ tires, what do you guys think? Should I choose something different?

Thanks again!

looks like a nice smooth tire. it got good reviews and it has a tread area for snow and 1 for rain. Looks like it would be good in areas of snow maybe 1-2 inches deep.

I had Avid H4S tires on my last car, 205/40R16. They were AWESOME in all types of weather.

I guess it's all preference. What are you looking for? I had the Pirelli P4 tire on my Acura TL and I have to say it performed pretty darn well. It's quite and traction is great (wet and dry and light snow) and the tread wear is crazy high...like 760...that's about 77,000 miles!
