hi all i'm a noob on the forum and as the title says new to tunning

last night i tuned a safc2 on an sr20det fwd, i am not sure what was expected in terms of how much power the car would have made so i just wanted some suggestions

the car has a turbo similar to a gt2871R or a disco (ebay turbo i think) .86a/r, 38mm external wastegate @ 10psi,walbro fuel pump and an aeromotive fuel pressure regulator set at 43psi, it has the stock injectors, ecu, airflow the exhuast is 3"

on the first run it made 198whp but the air/fuel ratio was going rich to point where the wideband gauge was maxed out. so i leaned it out after a couple runs an the hp kept goin up an up an up but it was still staying rich like 10:1 from 4000rpm and up, i thought it wierd an the owner informed the car didnt have any stock o2 sensor anyways he said keep goin even if the engine blows up lol so we ended up wit 253whp and 237wtq at the same 10 psi

is that a good hp level for the boost and mods that we have??

i could have leaned it out more but it was already at like -27% in the higher rpms on the safc an the air/fuel ratio was still at 10:1 or less but i figured with no o2 reading to the ecu it was running an extremely rich map an i figure the injectors would have maxed out or something...so any suggestions, tips or criticisms would be appreciated

is the a/f being monitored by a proper wideband? and with stock injectors you might be maxing out but I'd think you'd be going lean not rich? what size are the stock injecotrs? if they are not larger than 300 cc you have maxed them out

Certainly I'd make sure I was getting accurate AFR reading before going much further. That said...

What are you adjusting to alter your AFR's? If the injector K value is too high, for instance, you'll have a tough time bringing it down with the fuel map. Where was the AFR below 4000 RPM? Did you start with a stock map or did you get a "pre made" map somewhere? I've not tuned that particular setup so I probably can't help you with specific numbers but post a bit more detail regarding your tuning methods and maybe we can help more.
