Hi, i am looking into getting my ECU chiped for my KAT project but i was told that the 800cc venom injectors i have can't be tuned and i will have problems at idle, is this true?

That is incorrect. If a 1.8L Honda motor can idle with 1000cc injectors, I assure you, our 2.4L engines will do just fine on 800cc.

It's all in the tuning.

Here's a strategy to consider:

After determining the correct lag time for the injector (whomever tunes your ECU should be able to do this no problem), run with a base fuel pressure of 50psi (stock 43psi) and decrease the pulsewidth on the injector. That way, the fuel will atomize a bit better than if the injector had a longer opening time with lower fuel pressure.

In short, don't sweat it. It'll be fine.

So few people mess with fuel pressure...I say run an extra pump for the volume and add quite a bit of pressure. I've used that method for ALONG time. It also increases the HP limit of your injectors. Not by alot, but it could net you another 20-25 WHP. The key is to make sure your fuel pump isn't dropping off at higher RPMS.

Thats why I use two external pumps, work good, last long time.
