I am going to start tuning my rb25det as soon as my drive shaft gets here and was wondering where to start. I have the AEM uego wideband. I know with the KA we had to reduce timing by.5*-.7* per psi of boost. I do have a safc-2 as well and used that to tune KA-t.

1. Does the stock base timing need to be adjusted when turning the boost up to 10-12 psi?

2. Can the turbo handle 10-12 psi.

3. Can the motor benefit from advancing the timing? How is the timing adjusted on the RB?

4. The stock injectors are good to this power level correct?

5. How much power can be expected with a FMIC, 10-12 psi stock turbo, and full 3" turbo back exhaust

1. nope, id be taking fuel out though. the stock car is gonna start dumping fuel in. lot of the aussie guys saw alot of improvement by leaning it out. (but youll see with your wideband)

2. yes just stay around that area, ceramic wheel cant take much more

3. through your cas. i wouldnt play with timing much. id be conservative. near its stock form, id be ok with the safc. but when you go bigger stuff your tricking the ecu a lot more then you should. being that the stock ecu also plays with the timing.

4. stock injectors should hold up find.

5. 267hp to the wheels @12psi

267 whp sounds about right, all I have done with my RB25 so far is Greddy FMIC, Greddy intake manifold, Koyo aluminum radiator, Mckinney down pipe, Megen test pipe, and 3'' Tanabe racing medilation exhaust and I'm at 250 whp!!!...no tuning yet but I have a ported head and bigger cams for it but I'm waiting till I have enough money to upgrade the fuel system!

SHould be making alot more power than that. US rollers typically read higher than hub packs and we make 300+hp at wheels on hub setup, 11psi and VERY small front mount in S13.
