Greddy emanage is great if your new to tuning systems, I'm learning on one myself. However standalone will always offer more detailed control. Depends on your budget really.

build is going ok, its been put on pause for a little while actually. if everything goes right ive got a decent job doing something i enjoy in north carolina which means ive got to pay off that nagging car loan i have out on the Z. so in 9 weeks ill be debt free and ill be back to pouring money into the car. im probably going to order my valves just cause i have the money though.

I havent been able to find a definitive answer to this- can e manage support injectors bigger than 550cc or not? I know there was some discussion on this, but I haven't been able to find the thread. Thanks

I have read many times that emanage can do only 50% injector correction so it cannot handle injectors larger than 550cc. I have no first hand experience with it though so i'm not 100% sure, just going from what i've read.

Well it depends on what your horsepower goals are. We just had a similar discussion over at Zilvia. The formula for horsepower given injector size, and duty goes something like this:550cc = 52.3 LBS/HRInjector Duty of 90%4 InjectorsBSFC* of .55

[ ( 52.3 * 4 * .90) / .55 ] = ~342HP

Generally speaking, 342HP is the theoretical limit using the above numbers.

* Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) is the lbs. of fuel an engine consumes per HP per hour. The number is up for debate as turbo-charged cars can vary in BSFC from .55-.60.

The E-manage will handle 550s and a t3 set-up. What you wanna take into consideration or keep in mind is, the turbo itself isnt what determines the fuel managment system you run. Determine the amount of power you wanna make. Then look at the turbo and the amount of boost your going to have run to reach that goal, as well as the injector size you are going to need ,in order to meet that power goal and then make your choice on fuel management accordingly to your goals and set-up your going to run. If your aiming for 330ish-400 wheel hp then a E-Manage and some 550s will do the trick, but once you reached the 400s those 550s start to run out of grunt.

im shooting for 400-450rwhp and i was planning on running 740cc injectors to be safe. its easier to pull fuel out of the system then it is to add in fuel that isnt there.

In my e-manage manual I think it says that it can handle 150% larger injectors. It's been awhile since I read it though. I personally run 600cc injectors on it.

Thats correct, its 150% larger than the stock ECU is programed for, or 925cc injectors in the SR's case.

I was hoping to hear that, i just dont understand why it only says 50% larger on the web site and in the catalogue. I was debating whether or not to go with the emanage based on that factor.
