i bought a new laptop to tune my car in the future. of course it came with vista and ive searched a little, but not to extensively and cant find anyone that has tuning software for vista. i already have an emanage but would love to go stand alone down the road.

greddy doesnt make a support tool for vista and i cant find anyone else that does either even if i went stand alone i wouldnt be able to tune it?

and ideas or did i miss someone that has software compatible with vista?

+10 for Truth.

If you recently purchased a laptop, It should have the option to select a 'downgrade' to XP Pro for ~100 extra.

Don't worry about the compatibility issue. Here's what you should do.

Install your software. Once installed you will see a shortcut icon on your desktop. Right click it. Click "Properties". Then click "Compatibility" tab. Check mark "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)". Also check where it says "Privilege Level" and check "Run this program as an administrator".

It should work and has never failed me. I recently installed a game I used to play in the early 2000s and it didn't work. I did what I told you and it worked. Good luck.

PS: Vista is a great OS if you have SP1 and it has never failed me since I've got it last year. However I like XP more but only because its problem free and alot more stable. Vista is getting there.
