Hey all I got a qustion for tuning the safc, while iam in the tuning process, for instance i have to tune and 3k rpms, i have to hold the car there until i can dial in the number in for a good a/f? My first tune was on a dyno, just got myself a aem wideband. What am i aming for? Would this be ok for a tune, at idle 14.5, and underload 11.5-12? Any help would be appreciated, i tried to search but found nothing.-Ricky

When I tuned I would floor it an if it went pass a set level of 12.5 I would shut it down and then calibrate. Doing little by little, Granted this was at night on backroads in the middle of nowhere not dyno-time

start it off being rich, get a video camera, record your AFR's + RPM, then tune accordingly. Repeat. I hope you're able to have visual of timing as well.

It was a 2 person tune. I sat in Passenger seat and gave hand signals. Also was only running 5lbs and 8lbs so no timing factor. had 2 degrees knocked off base

Yea iam going to be around 7-8lbs, around 2 degrees off from base timing. thanks guys for your input. I tried ot read the link that NeeJay sent me, but all iam reading is what the safc does and how to get a "decent" tune if you havent tuned it yet. Before this my car was tuned at a dyno shop. again thnx-Ricky
