So the Versa is ULEV2.In order to get the emissions to zero, or close to that they must do a few things.Lots of sensors. Lots of palladium-rhodium, platinum and catalysts.and one honking ECU.

Cams must have little to no overlap. Fuel must be ubber lean. combustion temps ubber high.

so to gain the power lost by getting zero emissions you could change the cam timing. get a bit more overlap. But... could the ECU handle this? What if you changed the cams out with some higher lift, more duration models?Would the ECU go into limp-in mode because it does not know what to do with all the added flow?

Thats one of the only down sides of this car. Wish it was a PZEV. can you believe the P.O.S. Ford Focus is one but not this car. doesn't make sense.

piggy back sucks. I worked on a turbo MR2 spyder that had a custom Electromotive TEC3 being used as a piggyback to the OBDII ecu. It worked, but man was it tough.

You could probably use the jap ecu, but then you kill the legality of the car in the USA.The problem I see with that turbo car is that most of the CARB states outlaw this kind of conversion on these cars. ya, I know that some places miss the obvious and pass them, but that is coming to an end with huge fines and jail.

All that company needs it to sell that kit to some kid in SoCal, then the state comes after them for selling illegal gear...

sucks...
