To tune it yourself, you need a datalogging software program (datalogit is what most use) and a wideband O2 sensor (several manufacturers).
The cost for a PFC tune depends on the shop you go to, how detailed you want the tune (part throttle vs. WOT only), and how much you want to make changes in the future creating the need for additional dyno time.
I spent the $600 or so for datalogit and wideband so I could tune my setup on the street (deserted and newly-paved country roads for all you high and mighty types).
