Hi,

If you replace the intake cam with an exhaust cam, do you have to change the tuning?

You don't have to, if you still have a MAF based ECU. The cam changes change the airflow, so your AFM measures the changes and adds the right amount of fuel based on the maps. So it has the same effect in terms of mapping as running another pound or so of boost, if you get what i mean.

With my setup (that you read about in the other thread) the one of the last things we changed on the first day was the cam timing and my tuner made no changes to the maps between each adjustment; like i said above between the AFM and ECU the extra flow was compensated for.
