i just got a s14 sr20 240 with basic bolt-ons. I got the ecu chipped (emance, i know, i know, i researched after i sent the ecu out) and was wondering what would be the best option to monitor/tweak my setup. I have a laptop computer installed in the dash, so was looking for pc compatible solution. What would be my best bet? i was looking at wideband o2 kits, is there any other alternatives? thanks

To monitor it, you just need a consult cable. To tweak it is a little more of a pain. You'll need at the least a tuning program and a chip writer. You can also go a little more high tech and get a set up that will allow you real time writing, but that gets a little more expensive.

yeah, i was looking at blazt consult cable. I was just wondering if there is a way to adjust afr ratio through pc interface ( other than $1000 stand alone systems or eprom burning). I might've gotten the wrong impression, but can't you adjut afr using wideband controller?

Nope, wideband controllers just interpret the output of the sensor into something that you can understand. Burning chips is the only way to do it. Something like a megasquirt might be an option, but that requires a lot of work and tech knowledge.
