Tuning was done at Whites Automotive Imports in Rockledge FL. Everything went well at the tuning session. 2 issues they found doing the dyno. Exhaust leak at the down pipe connecting to the exhaust. Seems to be just a gasket. The other is that the factory O2 sensor is not working. They unplugged and we will get a new one, wants us to make sure it is reading correctly before replugging back into the computer. Says with it reading incorrectly that it messes up the tune.
He tuned and did initial dyno pulls at Alex's 13lbs boost set by his AEM Tru-boost. Gary set all parameters to better mixtures and timing. Pulled 284hp and 274torque. The dyno read it was putting out 14-15 lbs boost average. Also pulled on the factory settings at 7lbs boost. It pulled 228hp. The dyno pull prior to all the upgrades with the same 13lbs boost pulled 245hp adn 244 torque. Car ran 13.6 at 107mph with a 2.5 60 ft. Did not get to the track last night because of
Cool thing is any drive ability issues we can tell Gary and he can adjust the program e-mail and we can up load with computer. Thats kewl!
Didn't make it to the track last night because of rain. Next week he says.
Car starts up smoothly and purrs. No rich smells anymore! Has a little more choppy idle and exhaust sound is deeper. As we say the smile is the gauge and he is smiling, just a little lighter in the check book! All on McDonalds pay. Thats a lot of burger flippin.
