My coupe already has 56,000 miles. I put a post on brakes (on the brake/suspention) but this is a diferent question regarding tune ups.

Am I already due for a tune up? Should I just get some iridium spark plugs, cables and have a craigslist value mechanic do the job, or what do you guys recommend? The car runs great, and have only changed oil, tires, battery, wipers for 2 years of use, to me sounds good.

CVT fluid is expensive and ive heard members say its something like $120 or $140 for the fluid alone. my dealership told me $160 for them to change it... CVT warranty recently got extended to 10 years/120,000 miles. so for all warranty purposes (CVT has a habit of going out on people) i'd take it to the dealership.

I know this is an old thread but I was at my dealer the other day and happened to ask when the cvt transmission fluid need to be changed and he said they are told to tell people not until 100,000 miles...??????

In my old truck I did it 2-3 times before 100,000..

Every Nissan dealership I visited recommended for me NOT to change, especially now that Nissan has Extended the warranty to 200,000km.

I have 84k/km on my VQ35DE and this is what I have done...

Oil Changed @ 7k/km with Castrol German Synthec 0W-30. I also use GUMOUT FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER.
Air Filter Changed @ 10k/km with Fram Extra Guard. It's the only aftermarket we have up here.
OEM Battery failed me several times so I changed it a few months ago to OPITMA RED TOP.
Upgraded the Front Brakes to EBC.

This Spring I will FLUSH the Coolant and changed the SPARK PLUGS with Denso Iridiums.

Drain and refill at 30,000 miles.
Complete flush at 60,000 miles.

That was the recommendations last time I checked.
